Fill Up the Pokédex
Very early in your adventure, you'll receive the Pokédex, one of the most important tools you'll use. The Pokédex is a device that automatically records every Pokémon you encounter. One of the main goals of the game is to find all of the Pokémon in the Unova region to complete the Pokédex.
The Pokédex comes in two styles: boy Trainers will carry a red Pokédex, while girl Trainers will tote a pink Pokédex.
Your Pokédex will display extra information when you catch the Pokémon you're researching.
